Jesus "Jay" Hernandez is an Assistant Instructor (MMA/ Shootfighting) at Tiger & Dragon Martial Arts. He is a superbly conditioned athlete. Mr.Hernandez was an accomplished high school football player. Upon graduation he continued his athletic achievements in the areas of weight training and cardio conditioning; ultimately becoming a certified personal trainer. In March of 2005 he decided to expand his horizons and began training in the art of Shootfighting under Noel Castillo & Bart Vale. Mr.Hernandez stormed through the Shootfighting ranks, ultimately traveling to Japan in July of 2007 to test his skills against his Japanese counterparts. Upon returning from Japan, Mr. Hernandez began competing in MMA (Corbett Promotion/Georgia); where he still competes in today. He won his MMA debut in 23 seconds via arm-bar submission. In his most recent match, he took on a 260 lb. opponent though he only weighed in at 200 lbs! Jay is a true competitor and effective instructor. He currently holds a Blue Rank in Shootfighting and continues to teach, compete, & train at our facility.
